MariTech Talent Programme Completes Final Training Phase

The final stage of the MariTech Talent Programme took place between 29 September and 8 October 2025, marking the completion of an intensive capacity-building journey designed to strengthen innovation, sustainability, and digital skills across the maritime ecosystem.

This last phase combined online courses (29 September–3 October) with on-site training in Limassol, Cyprus (6–8 October), offering participants a comprehensive learning experience that connected theoretical knowledge with real-world maritime operations.

A total of 33 participants from Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Sweden, Latvia, and Cyprus joined the programme, representing ship management, port operations, engineering, ESG, environmental compliance, cybersecurity, maritime law, research, and entrepreneurship. Upon completion, participants became eligible for 2 ECTS through a formally accredited micro-credential delivered by the Cyprus University of Technology.

Participants completed a suite of self-paced online courses covering subjects like cybersecurity, sustainability, digitalisation, innovation and intrapreneurship, maritime regulation;

These courses, combining presentations, reading materials, practical examples, and case studies - are now fully available on the MariTech Collaboration Node, where users can register and continue to access and follow the content at their convenience.

From 6 to 8 October, participants engaged in on-site training in Limassol, including:

  • morning sessions at Maritime Cyprus 2025 conference, exploring global industry trends and regulatory developments;
  • workshops at the Cyprus University of Technology focused on IMSAS auditing, port infrastructure management, systems thinking, design with AI integration, and digital transformation;
  • a guided visit to Limassol Port, hosted by Eurogate and DP World, providing first-hand insights into port operations, sustainability practices, and digital tools shaping modern terminal management.
