About the Opportunity

The MariTech Talent Project consortium is delighted to invite individual participants to join a unique learning and networking experience in Limassol, Cyprus.

About the Programme

Teams, representing maritime challenge owners (port authorities, shipowners, operators etc.) and professionals from deep-tech startups, scale-ups, and SMEs will collaborate to identify helpful practical solutions with potential to solve existing challenges, while receiving necessary training along the way.

The MariTech Talent programme aims to equip the maritime workforce with essential skills for the green and digital transition. Participants will gain operational knowledge in key digital domains that enable the twin transition in the maritime industry, achieved through direct collaboration with deep-tech solution providers. Ultimately, maritime companies and ports will gain valuable insights into the benefits that digital and green solutions can bring to their operation. 

Programme Highlights

Participants will benefit from a blended learning approach combining on-site and online activities: 

• Interactive workshops hosted at the Cyprus University of Technology 
• Guided tour of the Limassol Port
• Online webinars through our node (last week of September 2025) 
• Participation in the Maritime Cyprus Conference (registration handled by us) 

Financial Support

Each selected participant will receive up to €500 in support to cover eligible expenses: 

• Conference entry (covered directly by the organisers)
• Economy-class airfare
• Up to 4 nights of hotel accommodation (max. €111/night, depending on flight schedule) 

Please note: Transportation other than flights (e.g. taxis, buses) is not eligible for reimbursement. Reimbursement is applicable only to individual participants and will be processed after successful completion of the course. 

Reimbursement Guidelines

• Hotel expenses: Only standard accommodation costs are covered (extras such as minibar, pay TV, etc. are excluded).
• Hotel category: Up to 4 nights, max. €111/night.
• Travel tickets: Only economy class tickets are eligible (business or first-class not reimbursed).
• Transportation: Local transportation costs are not covered.

Required Documents for Reimbursement

• A copy of your plane ticket and boarding pass
• Hotel invoice
• Proof of payment for both the flight and hotel
