Our flagship technology, Plastalyst, is a revolutionary catalyst that enables the conversion of plastics and organic waste into valuable chemicals such as methanol, syngas, and monomers. This process operates at low temperatures (below 200°C), uses only water as a solvent, and produces no harmful byproducts—a significant improvement over traditional recycling methods. Most importantly for the maritime industry, Plastalyst has successfully depolymerized PET and other waste plastics into methanol, a low-emission alternative fuel. By offering a way to convert waste into valuable raw materials, Plastalyst helps reduce plastic pollution and fossil fuel dependence.
We are already advancing our technology through real-world applications. Pilot projects with Toyota/Toyopet and Bosch are testing Plastalyst on difficult-to-recycle plastics and engine oil waste, while our demo plant in Indonesia, in partnership with PLN and the Temasek Foundation, is scaling up the process at TRL 7. Additionally, we have signed agreements with some of the world’s largest chemical companies, reinforcing the demand for more efficient and sustainable recycling solutions.
Looking ahead, we are taking major steps toward commercialization. This year, we will begin testing with a 400L reactor, and we are in discussions to establish a first-of-its-kind recycling facility in partnership with global stakeholders. As part of the Maritime Accelerator, we aim to collaborate with shipping companies and ports on pilot projects to recycle maritime waste, including fishing nets and ropes. These advancements will support our next stage of growth, as we prepare to raise a €10M Series A funding round next year.
